Purpose: The Public Finance Authority for Affordable Housing serves as the City’s mechanism to secure funding from financing programs developed to make funds available for the construction and/or mortgage-related for the purpose of providing affordable housing for low to moderate income families.  The membership of the Public Finance Authority for Affordable Housing is comprised of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor and the remaining members of the City of Alachua Commission.  This special district was established in 1992.  The geographical boundaries mirror that of the City of Alachua's as shown on the City of Alachua Boundary Map.

Annual Budget Information:

The fiscal year for the City of Alachua Public Finance Authority for Affordable Housing coincides with that of the City which begins every October 1 and ends on September 30 of the following calendar year.  Below are the City of Alachua's approved budget documents for the years listed.  There is currently not a specific adopted budget for this District as there is no activity at this time.

 

Financial Statements:

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFRs) are the City's annual financial statements.  They are prepared by independent auditing firms.  These reports provide an annual presentation and evaluation of the financial condition of the City.
