Police Officer 

Application Requirements

  • Be at least 19 years of age
  • Be a United States Citizen
  • Possess a valid Florida driver's license
  • Be a high school graduate or its equivalent
  • No felony convictions or misdemeanor involving perjury or false statements
  • Possess good moral character
  • Achieved an acceptable score on the State Officer Certification Exam
  • Must not have had a dishonorable discharge from the military

  • Oral board interview
  • Background investigation
  • Polygraph examination
  • Psychological evaluation
  • FDLE medical examination
  • Drug screening

Communications

Application Requirements

  • Be at least 19 years of age
  • High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
  • A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
  • FCIC/NCIC certified within six (6) months of hire.
  • Department of Health certified within one (1) year.
