Police Officer
Application Requirements
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Be a United States Citizen
- Possess a valid Florida driver's license
- Be a high school graduate or its equivalent
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor involving perjury or false statements
- Possess good moral character
- Achieved an acceptable score on the State Officer Certification Exam
- Must not have had a dishonorable discharge from the military

- Background investigation
- Polygraph examination
- Psychological evaluation
- FDLE medical examination
- Drug screening

Communications
Application Requirements
- Be at least 19 years of age
- High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
- FCIC/NCIC certified within six (6) months of hire.
- Department of Health certified within one (1) year.
