The Compliance & Risk Management Department serves primarily as support for all other departments as each performs its primary function. Land right matters, such as acquiring easement rights for utility projects, deeded rights to expand roadways and for the construction of other capital projects as well for the vacation of city streets are but a few examples. Processing all claims by or against the City, coordination with the City Attorney in necessary matters, negotiating and reviewing Contracts to which the City is a Party and acting as City Bargaining Representative in union negotiations are also responsibilities.
