The elected
officials who serve the community of Alachua are a dedicated group who put
serving the public as their first priority. They are committed to providing
exceptional service to citizens at all times.
At Large:
All of the seats on the Commission are at-large, representing not districts,
but the entire community. This enables the citizens to seek redress and
solutions with any of the members.
The City Charter
has information regarding City Elections, Commission compensation, the requirements
for qualifying for office, meeting schedules and procedures, and other information.

The City Commission implements
its vision through its Strategic Plan, which establishes key initiatives
for the City Manager to develop a work scope and action items to accomplish
the successful completion of each.
