The City Commission, City Manager, Department Directors and all employees focus on the safety, health and welfare of our community and each other. The Safety and Wellness programs of the City are now combined. It is clear that employees focused on wellness are more alert, have more energy, are more in  control of their physical actions, have a more positive and productive attitude, miss less work and generally feel better and live happier lives. A fit and well employee is a safer employee no matter if a disability may exist. The City Program  is designed to prevent promote wellness and prevent injuries and property loss. The City Manager established policies, procedures, inspections and training require all staff, as a condition of employment, to abide by the established standards. Employees must practice safe and healthy working habits and supervisors, by any name or title, are responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of safety and wellness.
