Payments are processed by an independent company, Point and Pay, that partners with the City of Alachua to process utility payments.  The City of Alachua has partnered with the Point and Pay (A Vesta Company) payment processing company so that our customers may pay by major credit card, debit card or E-check.   The card processor assesses a convenience fee on the total amount of the transaction.

The City of Alachua does not receive any portion of the convenience fee.  Under Florida State Statutes (F.S. 215.322), as a unit of local government, the City has the option to partner with a third party to provide this service.

Utility services are subject to disconnection on the day the account becomes delinquent, which is the close of business seven days after the due date.  The exact cut-off day date and time is printed on the bottom of your bill each month because the exact date will vary.

IS YOUR UTILITY ACCOUNT PASSED DUE OR DISCONNECTED?

If you are possibly subject to disconnection or have already been disconnected, you must call Utility Billing at 386-418-6110 to confirm payment processing and ensure delinquent account services are not disconnected or to ensure utility services get restored.

By continuing, you acknowledge understanding of the above statement of convenience fees.
