Mission Statement: The Senior Resources Advisory Board is committed to support and serve the senior citizen population in our community. The Board's role is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and City Commission for the purpose of providing the Commission with information on all issues of importance to senior citizens. Members are volunteers who will advocate for senior citizens and serve as an information source on senior and aging topics by:
- Providing a forum to exchange ideas and promote partnerships through quarterly meetings;
- Assist in the coordination of efforts among senior citizen service provides to maximize resources and access to these services;
- Improving community awareness about senior issues;
- Develop partnerships to increase funding and enhance services;
- Advocating for senior issues on behalf of the City of Alachua Commissioners
