A.L. Mebane Middle School

Located just north of town, A.L. Mebane Middle School is the City's only public middle school.

Mebane features a magnet program, the Biomedical Mustangs, which aligns with a similar program at Santa Fe High School and fields of study at the Santa Fe College Perry Center to prepare students for careers in the several businesses located in the bio-life science cluster along US Highway 441 in eastern Alachua.

Alachua Learning Academy

The Alachua Learning Academy is a public charter school for grades K - 8. In 2024 it is ranked as the #1 middle school and #2 elementary school in Alachua County.

Bhaktivedanta Academy

Bhaktivedanta Academy is a private Montessori school for grades K - 10.
