In Alachua, our Recreation and Culture Department takes a great deal of pride and dedication for park landscaping, appearance, functionality, cleanliness, and safety for our children and volunteers.· This lays a foundation for the City of Alachua to provide high quality youth activities.· Our youth sports programs are at the forefront of our efforts.  The philosophy of our Recreation and Culture Department is to support local volunteer groups who organize and implement respective youth sport programs.· For example, we host baseball, softball, tackle football, cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and other youth activities.

**Volunteers are always encouraged as coaches, board members, concession workers etc. If you're interested in volunteering for the youth of our community, please contact the City of Alachua Recreation staff at 386-462-0145**
